Roots and Shoots is a non-profit organization by Jane Goodall that empowers young people to work on environmental and humanitarian issues. They provide the support, resources, tools and training to empower the youth. They are planning and action oriented and their approach is hands on and activity driven. ​

The identity redesign emphasizes Roots and Shoots’ hands-on, activity driven approach by utilizing visuals that are hand drawn, paper cut and DIY-inspired. The typeface is bold and color palette is raw, organic and friendly and that empowers the youth to bring about change.
