Uable
Uable is an initiative that helps children discover, learn and hone their talent through roleplays of various professions. Uable’s aim is to create purposeful, playful and mindful live, online learning experiences for children between the ages of 6 to 12. Uable presents itself as an alternative to extra curricular activities and not as an extension of academics.
My brief was to create a digital platform that helps the user to enroll for Uable roleplay sessions. This digital platform will also act as a documentation site for students and parents to track their journey through various roleplay sessions.

PRIMARY RESEARCH
In the first phase of the project, I conducted user research through a survey form to understand the audience, recognizing their needs and finding the gaps that could be filled through this digital platform.
These insights are drawn from a pool of 60 users.
WIREFRAMES
VISUAL LANGUAGE
The overall visual language of the app is playful, inviting and friendly. The bright colors of the app were taken from the Uable logo. The typefaces have a large x-height and are round to increase readability.
Uable logo was designed by Origami Creatives, Bangalore.
ILLUSTRATIONS
These animal illustrations add a layer of playfulness and make the app seem non-academic. The animals were chosen according to the nature of the profession. For example, a fox was chosen to represent detective as foxes can be sly. The colors were taken from the logo for visual cohesiveness.
ICONOGRAPHY
The icons were inspired by the joineries in the Uable letterform.
LANDING PAGE
The same animals have been used in the landing page. This illustration creates a narrative of animals engaging in different activities. I chose the theme of a treehouse as an environment connects all the animals together.
SIGN UP FLOW
The same idea of having a narrative was carried forward to the sign in page. The above illustration of the fox in a rocket in space represents adventure.
Uable curates and recommends sessions based on user’s interests.
DETECTIVE SESSION PAGE
This page was inspired by the workspace of a detective.
